She is the Breed Columnist writing for her breed in the AKC Gazette Magazine.  http://www.japanesechinonline.org/ Recognized as an expert in the field, Michele has been hand picked to judge regionally and at the national level. 

Her management skills and business savvy come from having owned other successful businesses, including the Poseidon Restaurant on the beach in Del Mar, California, a 450 seat ocean front full service restaurant.

Maurine Travis is a native Texan, a dog lover lover and a lawyer. She has lived in San Diego, practicing law, since 1997. In addition to serving the complex legal needs of her human clients, Maurine is passionate about animals and caters to the everyday needs and desires of her four legged friends. As a devoted mom to her beloved Labrador Retrievers (Payton and Tyra), Maurine is committed to improving the lives, comfort and happiness of all her pet friends and the people who love them.
